Located in the Russian River Valley, the Harvest Moon Estate and Winery is known for its family-oriented approach to business and incredible zinfandels. Since 1976, the Pitts family has been cultivating an impressive and successful vineyard and business in wine country. in 2000, the son of the estate’s owners, Randy Pitts, relocated from San Francisco to Sonoma County to take over the family business. Through working with his father on the land and taking college courses, Randy became more knowledgeable and inspired to pursue a career in the wine industry. Randy’s first attempt at winemaking produced a delightful zinfandel which gave him the drive to perfect future zins.
In 2002, the Pitts family – farmers turned winemakers – officially opened their doors as a winery and released their inaugural wine. Together as a family, they aspire to grow their business and continue creating great wine. Harvest Moon Estate and Winery has been very successful over the years and will continue to thrive.
